Juan Ochoa wanted to beef up his 2000 Ford F-350 so he got himself PML differential covers for the front and rear in addition to a transmission pan. Adding more oil capacity, cooling fins, better heat-dissipating cast aluminum, and other improvements compared to the factory pans and covers can increase the reliability of your HD truck.

Even though this trailer tire was showing good pressure and a nice deep tread, it failed. Most likely this was due to the fact that the tire date code showed it was over 10 years old, and had deteriorated internally. This tire failure caused additional damage to the trailer fenders that wouldn’t even allow the spare to be run, without some roadside blacksmith work on the bent fender. A simple check of dated codes would have encouraged the owner to replace the aged tires on this trailer. Any tire retailer can do tire date code readings, or you can do it yourself.

The 2007.5-2010 LMM Duramax was the first generation of Duramax to be equipped with the new emissions regulated Diesel Particulate Filter in the exhaust system, which helps reduce smoke and emissions expelled from the tailpipe. In the early years, this was thought to be the death of diesel performance, but with time, the aftermarket caught up and better towing performance and horsepower is now just a few bolt-on parts away.
