The phrase “Tall in the Saddle” comes to mind here. The increased height of these tractors precluded their use in hilly country. They’re most often found in the Southeast or West, where they were used in vegetable farming. Sam’s came from Florida and was used to farm sugar cane, which is one of Florida’s biggest crops and why many Hi-Crops of all makes were sold there.
