20 Years Strong: Diesel World’s Next Chapter

AS SEEN IN OUR january 2027 ISSUE – Buy Now!

BUILT ON 20 YEARS. READY FOR WHAT’S NEXT.

If you’ve been reading Diesel World for a while, you probably noticed something different the second you picked up this issue. That’s intentional.

For more than 20 years, Diesel World has documented this incredible industry. The trucks, technology, performance, events, builders, and people who make the diesel community what it is. As we head into our 21st year, we aren’t walking away from that history. We’re building on it.

My name is Chris Hamilton, and I’m stepping into a larger role with Diesel World as part of that next chapter. I’ve spent much of my career in automotive media and have been fortunate to make a living doing what I genuinely love. I spent eight years at MotorTrend working with the off-road brand Mud Life Magazine, and today I serve as editor-in-chief across all of Engaged Media’s automotive brands.

I’m a truck guy first, though. I like the builds, the parts, the shops, the events, and most importantly, the people behind all of it.

Moving forward, you’re going to see a cleaner, more modern Diesel World. We’ll put a bigger spotlight on high-end diesel builds and the shops pushing this industry forward, while continuing to cover performance, new products, tech, events, and the diesel lifestyle that has defined this magazine for two decades. And I think that last part matters more today than ever.

We live in a time when anybody can generate thousands of words and throw them online in seconds. Diesel World isn’t an AI-generated content farm. We’re a long-standing automotive publication with writers, photographers, and editors who actually participate in this industry. We attend the shows. We talk to the builders. We photograph the trucks. We work with the manufacturers. That credibility has been built over more than 20 years, and protecting it is a big part of where we’re going next.

Right now, we’re getting ready for SEMA in Las Vegas, and I’d love to meet some of you there. If you see us walking the show, come say hello and tell us what you’re building.

More importantly, tell me what you want from Diesel World. What trucks are you into right now? What tech do you want explained? Which events should we attend? What shops, builders, and trends should we be watching?

This magazine belongs to the diesel community. Help us build its next chapter.
