52-Gallon Fuel Tank Sourced Re:  April 2007 issue, Volume 2, Number 3

In the above referenced issue, you had a "Quick-Tech" article about "Titan's High-Capacity, Direct Placement Fuel Tanks", wherein Performance Diesel in St. George, Utah went through the installation of a 52 gallon replacement fuel tank on a GM Duramax pickup.

I have attempted to "Google" Titan Tanks and have not found any listing for them, and I have contacted Performance Diesel in St. George and never received a response to my inquiry.  I am very interested in obtaining one of these fuel tanks for my new Duramax pickup because as your article pointed out, 26 gallons is not enough fuel!

Could you please let me know where I might purchase one of these tanks that was in your magazine?

THANKS!

New Diesel Deathmatch!

Hey I got a couple of questions and requests for you diesel freaks down there at Diesel World, if you wouldn't mind answering a few of them for me?

I was wondering if it were possible to put the new '07 stock line up GM, Dodge, and Ford on the dyno to see how their stock hp and torque numbers match up and to see who's ahead of the competition.

And just possibly throw some aftermarket products tuners, intakes, and exhaust and run 'em again! That would make for a sweet issue in your diesel mag line up.

Another thing is I own an '04 Dodge Cummins 1/2-ton and was wondering what the max hp and torque I can go without causing much slip or damage to the stock trans, and if I were to upgrade what's a cost effective but sound way to go about it?

Much thanks,

Ben

P.S. Your mag kicks, it's just too bad you don't put out two issues a month instead of one.

Yo Ben, for an expert answer to your technical question, please check Tech Matters, starting on page 122.  About your idea to do some dyno testing-we like it.  So much so, we've arranged to get a few of the newest big dogs in house and take a trip out to the dyno, maybe do a little towing, see if we can separate the men from the boys, so to speak.  This will take some time to do right, but we WILL get it done.  Stay tuned!
