That kind of braking power comes in handy while towing, or when the big Sierra needs to come to a halt quickly. And with the modified LLY under the hood, they are put to good use. The Duramax was fitted with an intake from Banks Engineering and a custom 4-inch stainless steel turbo-back exhaust from Borla that exits right at the rear axle through a chrome tip. Unlocking even more power is PPE's Xcelerator programmer, which is good for an additional 180 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. Topping off a potent LLY, 10-inch lift and 22-inch KMCs with a stock shell wasn't even an option. Factory paint doesn't stop onlookers at SEMA, so Justin went to Bakersfield's Kyle "K-Daddy" Gann to add some personality to the exterior. K-Daddy started his handy work on the paint and added candy gold flames with black striping. Protecting the paint while still keeping it visible, are Shocker Motorsports' Clear Mud Flaps with a quick-release system. For the final touch to the outside, Justin added a RYNO Manufacturing Phatty model antenna. Because a stock interior wouldn't work either, Justin had the team at Lizzard's Customs in Bakersfield, Calif. go to work inside of the crew cab. Lizzard's started by splitting the rear 60/40 factory seat into a 40/40 seat with a custom center console housing two MA Audio 10-inch subwoofers taking up the other 20 percent. They also replaced the factory door speakers, installed 1,800 watts of MA Audio amplifiers and brought some entertainment to the backseats via a pair of Directed headrest monitors. Feeding the signal to the audio system and providing directions is a Pioneer AVIC-Z1 unit in the dash. When all was said and done, Justin, Cognito and Shocker Motorsports hit the deadline. The truck made the trip from Bakersfield to Vegas in time and looked good doing it.
